Chand Mera Dil — A Return to Big-Screen Romance, But Will It Hit the Right Notes?

Chand Mera Dil, a much-anticipated musical romantic drama from Dharma Productions, is officially scheduled to release in theaters on May 8, 2026 after being postponed from earlier windows.

Directed by Vivek Soni (known for Meenakshi Sundareshwar) and produced under the banner of Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions with backing from Adar Poonawalla and Apoorva Mehta, the film marks the first on-screen pairing of Ananya Panday and Lakshya in a love story positioned as an “intense, emotionally rich musical romance” tailored for youth audiences.

As with many romantic musicals, music is central to the film’s identity, and reports suggest Karan Johar is personally overseeing the soundtrack with the aim of creating memorable, season-defining songs.  However, official song titles and credits (music director, lyricists, singers) have not yet been publicly released by the makers as of now, so there are no confirmed track names to list at this stage. (Industry tracking sites currently show no official music details available yet.)

What Chand Mera Dil ultimately needs to succeed is a soundtrack that resonates beyond the story, as well as genuine chemistry between its leads — a combination that often determines the box-office fate of Bollywood romances today.

Release Date: May 8, 2026
Director: Vivek Soni
Producers: Karan Johar, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta (Dharma Productions)
Leads: Ananya Panday and Lakshya

🎸 John Mayer Is Building His Next Album — and It Might Be His Most Personal Yet

John Mayer doesn’t want to rush his next album. And really, why should he? After two decades of twisting pop, blues, and folk into chart-topping, Grammy-winning records, Mayer seems more focused on truth than trends. "I’m letting the songs come to me, not chasing them," he told a crowd in Amsterdam earlier this year. “I think I’m halfway there.” Now, as he balances a stripped-back European solo tour and sporadic songwriting sessions in L.A. and Montana, Mayer is quietly sculpting what insiders say could be his most vulnerable record since Continuum . The album — currently untitled, and still without an official release date — is expected to arrive sometime in late 2025 or early 2026 , according to sources close to the project. “It’s not a sequel. It’s a reset.” Following the lush soft-rock nostalgia of 2021’s Sob Rock , fans might expect another neon-soaked trip into Mayer’s retro obsessions. But this time, he's turning inward. Several unreleased songs debuted on tour...
